Man, they just don’t stop, do they? In our continuing coverage of TOKYOPOP’s bid to completely rule the comic book and entertainment industry, we found this little tidbit in our mailbox this morning. I ran a quick imdb and google search on Ren? Garci? this morning, but came up empty. If anyone has any info, please go ahead and give me a point in the right direction.
Taking a step forward in its plans to expand manga into the feature films, Tokyopop Inc. has named movie industry veteran Ren? M. Garc?a their new VP/Film & Television. Garc?a will work in tandem with Executive Director/Development, Steve Galloway, on plans to expand Tokyopop?s business. Garcia was formerly President/Production, Craven-Maddalena (Wes Craven?s production company). Previously Garcia has held executive roles with Spelling Films and MTV.
