Little Bit from the “Sin City” Movie

ETonline has a little story up right now regarding the SIN CITY movie, along with a few pictures with some of the actors in front of green screens. For some reason, I didn’t realize that all of the sets and backgrounds were going to be dropped in in post-production. I just hope it turns out looking better than the Lucas PoS that we’ve been getting.

“This is the first time a graphic novel will be treated with absolute respect in how it is brought to life,” says Rodriguez, who pitched the idea to Miller of “translating” rather than adapting his story to the big screen. “If you look at [Miller's] books, you see that in a way they are already the best written, shot and directed ‘movies’ never seen in a theater.”

Rodriguez is really geeked for digital filmaking and has stated that he will always use that medium for shooting his movies. I know this not because I’m some great insider (I wish) but because I watched all of the bonus featurettes on the “Once Upon A Time in Mexico” disc. His posh editing studio is way sweet and the SFX that he does with all of those damn Macs (What happened to the processing power of Windows?) is incredible.

But, I’m afraid I’m witcha on the whole Lucas CF-style of digital filmaking; it’s either right on or embrassingly awful. I’m hoping for really good as I loved Marv and the whole Sin City series. At least Miller is involved in some capacity.
