Don’t know if you all floating around out there in the comics web ether know about this yet or what, but the latest issue of the terminally hip lit anthology McSweeney’s is out early next month, and it’s all comics, baby.
Contributors include R. Crumb, Art Spiegelman, Daniel Clowes, Lynda Barry, Los Bros Hernandez, Adrian Tomine, Julie Doucet, and other folks who claim to like them some funnybooks. Michael Chabon, Ira Glass, John Updike, Chip Kidd, and other awesome people who aren’t afraid to discuss nerdly affairs provide writing that doesn’t have pictures. I also predict irony is involved somehow.
Anyway, you can get McSweeny’s #13 here or at your local bookstore. If your bookstore doesn’t carry it, you need to find a new bookstore. Try searching here.
