Jim and I will be going to the Seattle Comicard show this weekend, so instead of a full blown review, here are some quick shots.

100 Bullets #53- Wylie is in New Orleans and Shepherd and Dizzy are on him like glue. This is part three of the Big Easy storyline, which explores Wylie?s past and sends twists and turns like shock currents through the title. Any ?mature reader? not picking up this title is missing out on one of the top five books out there today.

JLA #105- Man, I really don?t like this storyline, and the portrayal of Wonder Woman in this issue made me gag. I usually like Chuck Austen?s work, but this is a definite exception. Unfortunately, Ron Garney?s art is a shadow of his past stuff here as well.

She-Hulk #7- Go start reading this book! I like this title more with each passing issue, and this is no exception. She-Hulk links up with the Living Tribunal, and is stuck with the baby sitting job from hell. Kick Ass!

Fallen Angel #15- Things take another turn in this issue. Fallen Angel is Peter David?s best work since Incredible Hulk, and the art by David Lopez is gold standard. To me, he is the next Gary Frank. Well written and mysterious, Fallen Angel is amazing.

District X #5- The underdog X-title that could. David Hine has started something fresh and exciting- dealing with mutants as realistic characters, from the down and out to the average joe. I wasn?t sure if issue one was a fluke or not, but after five solid reads I am really sold on this book.

Action Comics #819- The Austen book I enjoyed this week. Lana Lang comes in for a conversation that shakes things up for the Man of Steel, and there is an interesting new husband and wife villain team. The art is solid, and the story flows well. This and Rucka?s work on Adventures of Superman are the must read titles of the Superman Family of books.

Captain America #31- Robert Kirkman is doing an incredible job on this story arc. From the surprising villains involved to the fate of a close friend, Kirkman is firing on all cylinders here, and his work is easily a stand out of the Avengers Dissembled tales.
