A little more info on the previous posting about the Lone Wolf & Cub sequel. The person who posted the original scans that I appropriated for 4CR had the following to say about the manga.

Broke down and read Lone Wolf: very good. I’m actually enjoying it more than the original, if only because it isn’t episodic but actually has a solid narrative drive right from the beginning. But the tone is quite different from the original, mostly because it is unintentionally funny on a regular basis. Daigoro defeating a bald kung fu master with the exact same no movement technique Stephen Chow used in Love on Delivery, or the villain who keeps changing sex with no explanation at all until halfway through the second volume. But the story is very good, the new characters are a lot of fun, and it’s interesting to see Diagoro actually being taught how to fight.

New artist is Mori Hideki. Became a manga artist because he was an massive fan of Lone Wolf and Cub and studied Goseki Kojima’s art obsessively. Has done about five different series on his own and won the shogakukan award for one of them.

Thnaks to Andrew Cunningham for permission to reprint his post here at 4CR. You can read his reviews of Asian pop culture stuff here and here.
