FREE! (Almost) Slipcase for Your LOTR Extended Edition DVDs

This is for all of us who are buying the extended Lord Of The Rings DVDs, but secretly knew in the back of our minds that eventually there would be some mac-daddy of a box set comin out that would put that Matrix thing to shame. Well, I still expect we’ll hear about some tricked out 20+ disc set eventually, but for now, New Line is doing right by those us who just couldn’t wait for it and aren’t likely to have the disposable income to drop on such an extravagence. For a mere $3.00 (to cover the shipping costs), you can order a slipcase that turns your extended edition sets into one big box set. I’m not sure I’ll ever fully understand exactly why putting things like books and dvds into a slipcase automatically makes them nicer, but there’s little denying that it does. Get one for yourself.

I’d imagine you could look for one on ebay, but I have no idea what sort of money they’d be going for at this point.
