4CR News And Info

Ok, this week is going to be a little light on the updates I’m afraid. I’ve spent my free time the last few days taking my dog from one vet to another in order to get her treatment, and it’s eaten up time, energy and a lot of money. To deal with the last part, I’m going to be spending a few hours this week doing nothing but trying to scrape up some design work and putting things on ebay. If anyone would like to help out and get something cool in the process, I encourage you to bid on one (or more) of my auctions. My little girl would appreciate it since her medical bills have already managed to jump into the low 5 digit range in just under 48 hours, and daddy doesn’t have a full-time day job right now.
As to the rest, in addition to seeing the return of Britt and Eric soon to rejoin myself and Heidi as posting, I’m interested in giving at least 2 more people access to 4CR posting privledges. I’m not looking for full-on columnists or reviewers, however. Rather, I want to get some people that can help find the less-reported comic book news that’s out there and post links and accompanying commentary on 4CR. Think the boingboing or Engadget model of blogging and you’ll get the idea. If you think you’re up for it, go ahead and email me at webmasterAT4colorreview.com , and we’ll talk about it.
Finally, in between all of the above chaos, there’s been a behind the scenes revamp of 4CR in the works over the last week. Rob Worley and Augie De Blieck have both been helping me out with updating the blog code 4CR runs on, and while most of the bugs have been worked out, there will still probably some times when the site goes offline for a little while, or things just look a little odd. Not to worry, ’cause we’re still here despite any such glitches, and in a week or two, 4CR will be running and looking better than ever. In the meantime, take a look at the redesigned iconstyles website if you’re interested in seeing what I do when I’m not geeking out with this site.
That’s it. Again, if you want some fine, fine comic-related clothing, keep an eye on my auctions. I’ll be adding more and more items throughout the following week or two, and all the proceeds will be going towards defraying my dog’s rising medical bills.
