I know I’m not the only person who’s kind of confused by the idea of Kim Basinger being the front-runner for the lead in the Wonder Woman movie right now, am I? I don’t have the nerve to actually go to any Wonder Woman message boards - I’m trying to cut back on my daily intake of nerdrage - but I’m sure people are having apopleptic fits all over the net.

Now, I’ve nothing against Basinger as an actress, and for a 50-something year old, she’s still pretty MILF-ish, but man, they need a new Lynda Carter for the role, not Lynda Carter’s mom. Cast Basinger, and we’ll have Warner Brothers’ answer to Elektra instead of Spider-Man. Foolish, foolish Hollywood…
