Gritty, honest, engrossing, very strange, and very sad, “End of the Century” thoughtfully proves what all high school outcasts believe now and will believe forever: the Ramones are one of the most vital American rock bands ever. Any fan of music should watch this; even if it’s just to see Joe Strummer — in his last interview — lovingly wax philosophical about the impact four tweaked out goofballs from Queens had on global culture.
