Apparently Welch’s is selling Curious George themed jelly jars on the marketplace to promote the movie that’s not coming out until 2006. I remember when I was a kid and Grandma would give me a glass of Coke that was actually an old jelly jar with Jughead on it. The jars always seemed popular with kids, so I never understood why they disappeared from the shelves, but at any rate, they’re back. I searched through Welch’s website for a photo of what the CG series’ll look like - wanted to see if they were silkscreened like the Archie jars of yore or not - but all I could find was info on Dragon Tales jelly jars. Luckily, they’ve already shown up on the ebay market if you’ve gotta see them. They look OK, using classic art and scenes from the books, though everyone’s favorite ether scene is curiously absent.
