When I was growing up, my parents always made sure that I knew that if an adult tried anything with me, it was their bad deal, not mine. Unfortunately, not everyone’s parents are so good about that sort of thing, and we end up hearing all kinds of horror stories all too often. Luckily, this little girl’s experience ended up on a positive note.

All it took was the voice of a 7-year-old Greenville girl to stop a child molester.

By speaking up last month and telling her parents that 28-year-old Benjamin Wolfgang of Greenville had tried to manipulate her into having sex with him, the brown-haired, blue-eyed youngster helped put an end to what authorities are calling one of the most disturbing child pornography cases they’ve ever seen.

During a short break between Playstation 2 and an episode of “The Simpsons” on Tuesday afternoon, Lynda explained how she felt after saying “no” to Wolfgang’s advances.

“I felt like a superhero,” she said.
