The Comic That Time Forgot

You know, you think that the comic book industry’s past has nothing left to surprise you, and then some guy discovers a nearly 60 year old comic that nobody’s ever heard of. Apparently, this gem was reprinted with Marvel’s blessing by a Canadian company back in 1948. Somehow it managed to slip through the cracks of time and nobody currently alive today ever heard of it until now.
A Kirtland Golden Age comics dealer has found a prize he did not know existed - a Timely Comic from 1948 printed in Canada that does not appear in any guidebook.
John Haines has been a collector and dealer for more than 30 years. He has been trying to complete his personal collection of Timely Comics (the 1940s predecessor of Marvel Comics) for most of that time, and has done pretty well.
But just when he thought there were no surprises left, he was offered a Timely Comic called “Comic Tunes,” that features the cover of “Namora” No. 2 and interior stories featuring Rusty, a Marvel “it” girl of the ’40s. The back cover advertises very early versions of Patsy Walker, Hedy and Millie the Model
