Well, it took them long enough, but they’ve finally decided to release some of The Daily Show on DVD. They made a smart move with their choice for the first set, too, going with the coverage of the 2004 election campaign . I’m pretty sure Comedy Central could make mad money if they released 9-10 box sets a year at about $20-25 a pop, collecting every single show they produce, but that’s just wishful thinking apparently. Either way, this set is 3 discs and has I don’t know how many hours of footage, but I’m willing to guess it’s quite a bit. Figure in the greed over common sense factor of the people that usually put these things together, and we’ll probably see about 6 hours, 8 if we’re lucky.
