Time Bandits On The PSP

On the UMD (Universal Media Disc) front, Anchor Bay’s announced their foray into the PSP market withhalf a dozen movies being released in the new format. In addition to their perennial cash cow, Evil Dead, Anchor Bay’s lineup will include Halloween, Ghost In The Shell, Blood, The Last Vampire, Time Bandits and the mid-nineties phenomenon Ninja Scroll. No word yet on whether these are just the movies or if any DVD extras will make the cut as well.

You know, whenever a new format for home or personal viewing of movies is announced, Time Bandits is always one of the first flicks available. I love this movie, but what the hell? Does it have some huge following we don’t know about?
Actually, scratch that. I don’t want to know. The flick currently occupies such a nice, low-level, out-of-way nerd space, it would be a shame to ruin it with action figures, D-level comics, and fan fic.
