Weird Scarface Licensing Deal

This is just kind of odd, really. A company, Los Angeles Pop Art, has announced a deal that’s going to allow them to produce artwork based on Tony Montoya which will feature images of Al Pacino recreated entirely out of words taken from the Scarface script. I remember seeing these things for Bob Marley and other reggae artists in the past, but I never would have imagined that there was an entire industry to be built around the technique. A quick look through their website proves me wrong, as they have images of Einstein, Reagan and Bruce Lee for sale. The posters are pretty fairly priced at $12.99 a pop, but who wants to pay for the Giclee prints at $199.99?

I love these posters. They are awesome. I dont think $199 for a giclee is bad at all. I think I am going to buy a scarface today. Thanks for telling me about the site.
