This is something that I never thought I’d see – Penny Arcade has a CCG coming out. It’s a legit one, too, from Sabretooth Games (the guys that produce the Warhammer CCG). There’s no release day yet, but I’m certain that there’ll be plenty of fuss and hoo-ha before it drops.
Designed and illustrated by Penny Arcade’s Gabe and Tycho, this set of cards was inspired by the hijinks of their legendary web comic. Everything from the “Divx” to Tycho’s “Really Big Word” is included in this set of cards, allowing players to reenact the epic battle of Gabe and Tycho. Erik Yaple, Head of Product Development says: “We are thrilled to be working with Penny Arcade. We see the characters of Tycho and Gabe as the Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer of 21st century.” “I’ve been playing CCGs from Sabertooth for years,” said Penny Arcade’s Tycho Brahe. “There’s simply no-one else I would trust to do it.”
