The Real Ghostbusters On DVD?

I don’t care if it is bootlegged, if the price wasn’t a ridiculous $160, I’d seriously consider buyingthis.
Really, the thing most annoying about seeing bootlegged DVDs like “The Real Ghostbusters” or “Batman Beyond” isn’t even the fact that these people are making money off of something that they don’t own the rights to. No, the worst part is that the studios that own these properties are too thick-headed to release legitimate, high quality, fairly priced versions of them. I understand that you don’t want to just dumbo-drop everything in your library at the same time, but there’s no good reason why the more popular series don’t all have some sort of presence on the shelves. I mean, I actually enjoyed “Jem” when I was a kid, but there’s no way in hell that that should be released in box sets before something like “Justice League Unlimited” or even the freakin’ “Muppet Babies.”

I totally agree! Some of my favorite cartoons from growing up have yet to come out on DVD. I would buy it, and I know that many others would, too. Real Ghostbusters and Kidd Video all the way!

That link appears to be dead, but if you Google for it, you can find it over at MediaEnterprises.tv. Of course, if you actually ’search’ the site, it’s not there, but this link (http://www.mediaenterprises.tv/store/product.php?productid=16329) takes you there anyway. Isn’t there someone to report this to?

[…] Other websites have seen this advertised on now defunct sales sites eleswhere, another indication these bootleggers are moving around. But I though it might be interesting to chart the progress necessary to not only get someone to actually look into this but see what it would take to get official licensed material going as well. For now, all we have is the current sales site trying to unload these illegal reproductions, but we think DIC Entertainment might like to know something about this… […]
