If you’re one of the people that got all pissed off about the new box design for The Simpsons’ Season 6 DVDs, then this one’s for you. FOX has set up a page that will allow you to get another box that will fit in aesthetically with previous seasons. Of course, to do so you have to take a little bit of verbal abuse, but hey – nothing’s ever really free, right?

The new Simpsons box design is really disappointing in person. While it looks neat, it appears to be made out of the same material as fast food soda lids. Not sure about the durability, there. I haven’t bought it yet as I don’t have the budget right now, but it’s nice to know that I’ll be able to get an alternate box, despite the abuse…
By the way, I own all of the previously released season sets and will be picking this one up come payday – so this isn’t just a case of someone who will never buy it complaining about it…
Of course you could always go to netflix.com and rent the simpsons disks, then go to usplastics.com and get a great 4 DVD plastic box(in yellow of course) then go to cdcovers.cc and get the high quality scanned image to print out for the sleeve and also the stickers to put on each dvd themselves, then go get the application called dvd shrink and burn all the dvd’s from netflix, put the stickers on them and place them in your new dvd box and insert your newly printed insert and you have a perfect set. All for a cost of about 5.00 total and that includes the price of the blank dvd’s. But of course I have never done that. I’, just saying one COULD do it.

Has anyone recived the alternative Box yet I have waited 8 weeeks no box I sent a copy of the check and no answer yet I think it is a rip-off and will not buy any more simpsons products ever again.
