Infinite Crisis #1 (of 7): Infinite Crisis completely lives up to the hype. Between Phil Jimenez’ incredible art and the excellent job done by wordsmith Geoff Johns, I am in nirvana. This book has been carefully planned for, and it shows. If you miss this, you will regret it for sure. My biggest shock has not been how much I loved it, but how little the internet is complaining.

House of M #7 (of 8): Over in the Marvel Universe, the spotlight finally hits Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. The secret behind the conversion to the House of M is here and it ain’t pretty. The last couple of pages set the stage for the rest of the year in the Marvel universe, and while I don’t think it is going to “crack the internet in half”, I do think it will get some tempers flared.

Villains United #6 (of 6): This mini-series probably had as many “Holy Crap” moments as I have seen in a prequel series to Infinite Crisis. How this will affect the main event remains to be seen, but it will have massive repercussions at the least. I have to give Gail Simone a B+ for the series overall, she did a great job. The art by Dale Eaglesham was a treat as always.

Y The Last Man #38: The aftermath of last issue’s last page stunner is here, and it may affect the state of the Earth. Yorick and 355 try to chase down the woman who could reveal that there is indeed a man left. This series has rejuvenated in the last arc as there is resolution in sight. Go pick up the trades and bring yourself up to speed if you haven’t been reading this great Vertigo series.

100 Bullets #65:
Every issue that comes out hits the top five in my read pile. 100 Bullets is the best Vertigo series being published in my humble opinion. Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso keep the reader on pins and needles with their unflinching style. This issue is no exception as Lono shows his cards, and Loop gets a life lesson from Vic. How the Trust ends up is anyone’s guess now that the Minutemen have been activated. A+ stuff here.

JLA #120: After the events in the last issue, JLA #120 is a bit of a letdown. I am to the point of “hey we get it, the JLA can’t get along”. There is a sub plot that is alluded to here that may bring some excitement and tension to the future issues, but here it was a rehash of fighting and disagreement. The good thing that happens here is we get a glance at where the Martian Manhunter’s ultimate fate. I plan to keep picking it up with a hope that the tie-in to Infinite Crisis will bring the excitement level up.

That’s it for this week. Happy Reading!
