‘Blender’ Kills, Resurrects Zombie Natalie Portman

Seriously, WTF were the photo shoot directors at ‘Blender’ thinking by making Natalie Portman look like a bargain basement Avril? Beyond that, what were Portman’s people thinking by allowing this cover to be used? Although, now that I think about it, I did get my copy just before Halloween, so there could be a subtle zombie joke involved somehow. Poor girl looks more like she needs a Double-Double meal than a helping of brains, though.

Strangely enough, they modeled Natalie’s cover photo on a shoot done with Jim Morrison by the editor of a teen magazine back in the day. The pictures of Morrison are very iconic- he is at the height of his looks, and is shirtless, wearing some beads around his neck. It just didn’t quite have the same effect with Natalie.

BTW, they called it Jim Morrison’s “Christ poses”. If you get a spare second, google it on the net- it pops right up.
