George Lucas officially announced today the opening of his new animation studio, Lucasfilm Animation Singapore. Always bursting with new ideas, the company’s first project will be a Clone Wars series that takes plce between Episodes 2 and 3. Silly me, I thought they’d already hit the important points of that time period with ‘Clone Wars’ on Cartoon Network. No word on whether or not Genndy Tartakovsky or any of the plot points from his cartoon version will be involved, but I doubt it. Doesn’t he have some sort of exclusive contract with CN?
