I know I may very well be in the minority here, but I freaking loved both ‘Resident Evil’ movies, unapologetically. I have no idea if they actually follow the plotlines of the games because after spending nearly an hour trying to figure out how to get out of the room my character was in, I tossed the damn thing on ebay in frustration and never looked back. The movies do feel like a video game in all the right ways - scenes are treated like levels, with the danger ramping up ridiculously fast and then falling off just as quickly over and over again until the character get to the big boss at the end. Of course, having Milla running around, kicking people’s heads off and filling their mid-sections full of holes doesn’t hurt either. So I’m pretty stoked to read that not only is a third movie on the way, but a fourth is likely to be made as well.

With Resident Evil: Apocalypse making back about three times its cost at the box office, the film’s production team was fully stoked to work together again on part three of the game-based series. Additionally, it’s thought that a part four - set in Japan - is pretty much inevitable, though there’s obviously nothing officially in place for it yet.
