One of the more effective posters at the San Diego con over the summer was the simple lenticular one sheet for Monster House. I wasn’t sure from the art in the poster, but now that the teaser trailer is online, I see that it’s a total CG animatted deal. Looks like Zemeckis and Spielberg are using the same basic (read: creepy) animation technique they developed for ‘The Polar Express’. The character designs are less realistic, so the overall feel seems to be less disturbing. Will the story be any good? No clue at this point, but a good haunted kid-eating house story never hurt anyone.
