It’s pretty interesting how some movies just get more and more popular as time rolls by. One of the latest classic films that’s been getting bigger and bigger with no end in sight over the last 5-10 years is ‘SCARFACE’. The last 2 years in particular have seen massive amounts of paraphanalia emblazoned with Tony Montana’s likeness, from shirts to mugs to action figures. Now, Dark Horse Comics is set to unleash a series of prose novels that are going to flesh the character out even more. An interesting move, since the obvious choice would have been to produce some graphic novels complete with over the top bloody illustrations.

The early history of one of the most notorious and captivating characters in film – Tony Montana – is revealed in a series of new novels from Dark Horse’s prose imprint, DH Press. Through a licensing deal with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, DH Press will release Scarface: The Beginning in March 2006 for the suggested retail price of $6.99.

Dive into the life of Tony Montana in all-new novels from DH Press. Go back to the years before Tony’s arrival in America to see what events shaped him into the man he became and what dire choices set him on the course of madness that would lead to a ruthless conclusion in the streets of Miami.

Other Scarface product currently available include, limited-edition statues, posters, action figures, apparel, novelty items and more. The all-new video game, Scarface: The World Is Yours, will debut in 2006.

Scarface: The Beginning is written by L. A. Banks, the creator of the popular Vampire Huntress series.
