This weekend, as I was in the process of organizing and decorating the nursery in preparation for our inevitable family member, I came across my “Where The Wild Things Are” action figures and I reminisced on those happy days of yore when I devoured the book on a regular basis. Well, I’ll either be thrilled or appalled in a year or two when the movie finally gets made. Spike Jonze and Warner Brothers are on board together and development is moving forward, which means that there’s going to be yet another children’s storybook that my progeny will be able to watch in the back of the minivan instead of reading it on paper like I did. I’m not really convinced that this is a good thing, but I can’t help but be excited by the prospect of seeing a state of the art CG version of Moishe brought to life.
