CBS has announced that they’ve ordered a pilot based on the Hernandez Bros. Image title, “Ultra.” The comic is a decent enough title centered around a group of superheroines in various “Sex & The City” styled settings and situations, and might actually benefit from being on the small screen rather than the printed page. While the issues I read were well written and drawn, they were also just a little too low key for my tastes and should play better when spoken aloud rather than read in your head.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS has ordered the drama pilots “Ultra,” based on the comic book series of the same name, and “The Way,” a supernatural thriller.

“Ultra” is a fast-paced action-adventure about a single city-girl superhero balancing the demands of greatness with her love life and social calendar. “Joan of Arcadia” creator Barbara Hall wrote the script.
