Stolen Comics Showing Up On Ebay

Ah, ebay! Fred and Kathy Madley are allegedly selling off some vintage books that they basically stole from a little old lady. I know that some people don’t care about dealing with thieves, but taking advantage of an old widow is really beneath contempt.
Madley signed a note promising to pay $40,000 for the entire collection, according to the lawsuit.
He made an initial payment of $10,000 and took possession of thousands of copies ranging from adventure series like “Batman” and “Doc Savage” to more obscure 1940s and 1950s-era titles like “TickTock Tales” and “Peter Porkchops.”
Madley also agreed to make monthly payments of $5,000 but took the books and was never heard from again, Hildebrandt said.
