Next Up for Grant Morrison? An Emotionally Unstable Millionaire Orphan Who Fights Crime

Announced at a DC WonderCon panel is the exciting news that Grant Morrison will be the next regular writer of Batman. No word yet on story specifics or who will be handling art duties, but according to Newsarama, Morrison has already plotted his first 15 issues.
Morrison is also gearing up for a relaunch of WildC.A.T.s (a longtime guilty pleasure of mine) with Jim Lee.

This is good news. Winick seems to have been going through the motions on the last couple of arcs. Morrison would be a needed breath of fresh air that could only help the flagship title for the Dark Knight.

Yeah, I think this’ll be great. Though I have to say, I have been enjoying Winnick’s run, even though I hated the idea of bringing back Jason Todd. (The issue with the Joker, where he keeps asking him, “Didn’t I kill you?” was pretty effing funny and cool).

I like the earlier part of Winick’s run but you’re right - Bringing back Todd seemed very needless.

This is indeed dope news. Did you read what those DC writers were saying about “52″? I have to say, it sounds totally insane - I mean that in a good way.

Yeah 52 does sound like it has potential. DC’s on a roll.
