‘Conviction’ Pilot Available For Free At iTunes, Before It Airs On TV

Well, this is yet another interesting twist in the downloadable TV shows story. As of this morning, the pilot episode of Dick Wolf’s latest series, “Conviction” (featuring J. August Richards, aka “Angel’s” Gunn), is available as a free download from the iTunes Music Store. Even more interesting than NBC and Apple’s crack dealer approach of giving you the first hit free is that fact that the show doesn’t even premiere on TV for another two weeks. Don’t expect it to stay free for long, however - once it airs, it’ll cost a buck ninety nine like all the rest of Apple’s downloadable videos. Well, except for the other currently free offerings - a select group of past Sportscenter promos that Apple’s also just recently added to their line-up.
Also, note that Apple’s info for the listing has decided that Wolf’s first name is obscene enough to be censored. That’s funny stuff.

All the different actor’s in this thing, such as L&O’s Stephanie March and my high school lab partner, Eric Balfour… and the one who gets a mention is some dude from Angel?
Weird.

To be honest, he’s the only cast member I recognized on sight.

I could pick him out of any lineup. Didn’t even know it was a he.
Stephanie March was the ADA on L&O: SVU for over 5 years. You should be able to pick her out. Eric was on 6 feet under, the Texas Chainsaw remake and Kid’s Incorporated. ;)
