LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - French filmmaker Alexandre Aja, who returns to theaters Friday with the horror remake “The Hills Have Eyes,” will direct “Black Hole,” a teen chiller based on an acclaimed comic book series.

Written and illustrated by Charles Burns over a 10-year period, the 12-issue series deals with fear of adulthood, sex and ostracism. When the work was finally completed last year, it was collected into an acclaimed graphic novel that made Entertainment Weekly’s top 10 works of fiction for 2005.
