Marvel and Cartoon Network have apparently reached an agreement granting CN the rights to create and air a new Fantastic Four cartoon. I wonder if this has anything to do with the anime-style FF art that leaked online a year or so back.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Cartoon Network has ordered 26 episodes of a new animated rendition of “Fantastic Four” from Marvel Entertainment for a fall premiere.

The series revolves around the crime-fighting adventures of the famous Marvel Comics superhero quartet — Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing — and their battles with villainous Dr. Doom.

Fantastic Four has been one of Marvel’s most enduring superhero franchises. The foursome first appeared in their own comics in 1961 and have had several incarnations as movies and TV series. The latest live-action film rendition was a hit in the summer for director Tim Story and 20th Century Fox, which is developing a sequel.
