They’ll do their damndest to bury a quality show like “Justice League Unlimited,” but pour money into a crap-ass idea like a cell phone ringone mascot. According to Cynopsis, CN is going to be subjecting viewers to shorts featuring Crazy Frog, I’m assuming sans dangling genitals.
The Annoying Thing aka Crazy Frog, a series of animated videos that began as a cellphone ringtone, is coming to the US from Europe on Cartoon Network, through an agreement brokered by Al Ovadia & Associates, Inc. Cartoon Network will have access to CG full length animated music videos and a collection of additional thirty-second shorts showcasing the character.

Isn’t it obvious? Whenever you see this kind of frantic groping for “the new hot thing”, it means the people in charge have no idea what their audience wants. After all, it’s not like the guys calling the shots there would ever actually watch the finished programming…
