Considering how well the movie ended up performing in theaters, it’s pretty surprising that a fan had to customize other figures into his own “Brokeback Mountain” action figures. There’s got to be a market out there for gay cowboy toys.

An internet blogger has caused online tears, and praise after designing action figures dedicated to the gay cowboy movie, Brokeback Mountain.

Jedi Doug, an action figure enthusiast from Canada, constructed the models by hand from other toys, and has featured them on his website along with models from other programmes such as Angel and Napoleon Dynamite.

The figures are designed looking down, as they do for most of the film, he said: “I chose to model them after the outfits they wore earlier in the film when they were first working on Brokeback Mountain (and in the “You’re sleeping on your feet like a horse” flashback from the end). Both are wearing the shirts that Jack saves.
