“Slither” - A Horror Classic Laying In Wait

Scott Weinberg over at Cinematical has dissected the box office “Slither” has done and cross-referenced the amazingly good reviews the movie’s garnered to come up with the (probably correct) conclusion that we’re looking at the latest DVD cult favorite in the making. He also nails it when he refers to Nathan Fillion as the next Bruce Campbell, though I hope Fillion manages to break through and get the mainstream exposure that Campbell rightly deserves. I’d love to see the two of them in buddy cop flick, or as superheroes or something. My head would explode with nerd-glee if they cast Campbell as Hal Jordan to Fillion’s Guy Gardner…

Just saw SLITHER, and enjoyed it just fine- sort of a cross between TREMORS and Cronenberg’s version of THE FLY.But Bruce is much more suited to the Guy Gardner part… unless they can get Dennis Leary, who may have been born to play Guy…
