“Justice League Unlimited” Finale Date Announced

Cartoon Network has announced May 6 and 13 as the days when they finally put the bullet in the back of the JLU’s head by airing the 2-part series finale. They’ve acted so desperate to dump this show despite it’s more than solid ratings, that I’m sort of surprise they’re spreading it out over two weeks in it’s normal 10:30 time slot rather than running them back to back at some weird time of the week. Either way, it should be as awesome as we’ve come to expect from the JLU creative team, with the plot basically consisting of every bad guy fighting every good guy from the last several seasons.

I don’t understand it…I thought the show was doing well? I’m sure we’ll get some made-for-DVD movies at some point though.

Sure, JLU has good ratings, profitable merchandising, and a loyal fan base.Hell, it’s even actually GOOD.None of that matters, if somebody in power decides they don’t like it. TV’s ALWAYS been like this; at least JLU didn’t have to suffer the indignity of a bunch of network idiots coming in and screwing around with it… probably because they tried that with BATMAN BEYOND, and it didn’t work. JLU will get to go out with it’s head held high…MY question is, what’s next for Bruce Timm and company? They deserve better than this, but where else can they go and still do this kind of work?
