As audiences become more discerning about what they want to pay to see in the theaters these days, movie studios are relying more and more on releasing long clips from upcoming movies on TV in order to stoke the box office. Narnia, Harry Potter and others have done this in the last few years, one would assume to great success. X3 has a 7 minute block coming up on FOX on May 11th, which they’re promoting even more heavily than the fact that it airs after the series finale of “That 70s Show,” for example, and sometime last week MTV aired a ten minute preview of the upcoming “Silent Hill” adaptation which someone ripped and uploaded here.
