Info has started trickling in from the E3 pre-show press conferences, with Sony making some big news. The PS3 is set to launch in November, available in 2 different bundles at 2 different prices: $499 for the system plus a 20GB hard drive, or $599 for the system plus a 60GB hard drive. In a stunning move, Sony has also added “tilt sensor technology” to the controller (a la Nintendo’s Wii controller, though not as advanced), but it is unclear at this point if any games in development are being created with this new funcionality in mind. Stay tuned to KFR for more E3 news.

I’m going to have to start saving up now… they’re really gonna milk us for every penny on this one. I’ll bet the games are gonna run $70 a piece too.

Goddamn that sounds pricey.
Looks like I’ll be sticking with Xbox.

It’s all those extra features you’re paying for: Blu Ray, hard drive, and all that crap. Sony tried the same thing with PS2, but who really used that as their DVD/music player?
