-Price: $249

-System is “always online”
-Virtual Console built in with system (hard drive that will allow gamers to download every Nintendo game ever made, in addition to Sega Genesis and Turbo Graphics games)

Am I loaded, or did it say 499 earlier tonight?

You’re thinking of the PS3. It’s $499-$599 for that. $250 for Wii.

GAH!
I’m so retarded.

You love the name. You know it and I know it.

When it’s out, nobody cares about the name anymore. Nintendo. You want it, I want it! Hope it comes with a free classic NES controller too.. :)

Last Nintendo system I owned was SNES. Everything else has been pretty lame.

N64 was terrific, and had 2 of the best games of all time: Super Mario 64 and Zelda-Ocarina of Time. GameCube has some great games but has been their biggest misstep.

Wii looks like more the direction of Gamecube. Playskool shit.
I didn’t even like Playskool as a kid.

No way. The issue with GC wasn’t even the “kiddie” factor. It was poor 3rd party support, period.
Besides — if Mario and Zelda, the best gaming franchises of all time, mean Playskool, then consider me Playskool. Still, it looks like Wii will be different. Red Steel by UbiSoft will be enough to shed the kiddie image anyway.

I agree with the Brooks — GC was just kind of lame all around. Wii has mighty potential. Mighty!
Although the GTA4 announcement pretty much guarantees me getting a PS3, so I don’t know what to say.

If you can find it online, during the Nintendo E3 press conference, 3 executives and 1 fan play a tennis game on wii. All controlled with Wii-remote. It seriously looked crazy fun.
Re: GTA4, I’d have to say, go with the 360 dude! You’ll get the Xbox Live updates, plus you won’t have to sell your first born for a system. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but $399 for the Xbox premium system looks like a steal right now.
Early prediction: Wii and Xbox 360 win this generation (in the US — 360 was DOA in Japan). By the time PS3 comes out, there could be as many as 10 million 360s in US homes. Plus they’ll drop the price.

Yeah, good call, man. If GTA4 is released on PS3 and 360 at the same time, it’s XBox for meeee.

P.S. The $499 PS3 isn’t even HD. You gotta get the $599 version for that.

Sony = shooting themselves in foot.

if Nintendo doesnt kick it into full throttle, it’s ps3 for me.
