As popular as the various GTA titles are, I could never get into them. I must have spent hours just trying to deal with the shootout at the loading dock in the beginning of Vice City, and I was never able to beat a hooker down without being arrested soon afterwards. Pitiful, I know, but I’ll stick with my platform games and Tony Hawk.

If you’re one of the millions of people who isn’t video game handycapable like I am, you might be into this. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Multi-Player. Apparently you can play the game with all the same features as single person mode, but with as many as a hundred other people running around at the same time. The devlopment community behind this venture has even gone out of their way to put in safeguards against other players acting like assholes and waiting inside gun shops or casinos to jump you as you come in. If you’re into the series, it sounds like it might be worth your time to give it a shot.
