The 1986 animated classic Transformers: The Movie (which holds up surprisingly well), is set to be re-released this November, courtesy of Sony BMG, in a brand new 20th Anniversary special edition DVD. Early word is that extras will include deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, and lots more. So long as it has “The Touch” and Transformers playing trumpets, I’m there. (Bonus nerd-points to those who get the headline of the article.)

I always loved the Starscream and Cobra Commander had the same voice. I saw this film as recently as 2 or 3 years ago from a buddy’s VHS copy. So cool that Orson Welles was Unicron.

When re-watching this for the first time in awhile, it’s always amazing how violent it is. I’d guess the new live action flick won’t even match it.
