Dan. The black costume they are giving us is a goddamn spray painted version of the traditional blue and red. There is nothing to defend. It’s crap.
Seriously. You can’t defend it because there’s nothing to defend.

T.U. — I see what you’re saying about the black costume, but I still like how they’ve done it here. It probably makes more sense in the context of the film, I’m guessing.

i thought the symbiote bonds to the person, not the suit itself, which doesnt make sense, spidy suit looks the same only dark, the symbiote is suppose to be part of him and his powers are enhanced by it, suit is ok, i just hope they dont mess up venom, better go comic version, they messed up juggernaut, if they make venom gay like that then all movies will go gay

Ha…”nerdgasm”…that’s classic.
I’m kinda stoked on the film version. It works. Yea, I’d love to see the traditional black costume with the huge spider, but it seems like this will be better suited (pun intended) for film. More rooted in reality.
The Venom version looks kinda jagged and bastardized, presumably because the symbiote isn’t flowing over the actual suit when it’s on Brock, so it “forgets” how to complete the look. I’d bet that as the film progresses, it will go from looking lots like the spidy black suit in the film to the true-to-comics venom suit. Just my 2¢.

Oh, and by the way, just read on superherohype.com that the trailer that first showed up at Comicon in rough form will be shown this coming Thursday (11.09) on Mtv between 10-10:30. I am guessing it will also hit the internet at that time.

Spider-Man is the Shizz!!! this movie is gonna rock like a mo’ fo’!!! I’m totally stoked about it!
