If you haven’t seen FLCL (or “Fooly Kooly” as it’s also called), do yourself a favor and make haste to the video store. It’s a sick blend of traditional anime with claassic Looney Tunes sensibilities that just kind of crept up out of nowhere several years back and took the anime community by storm. Arguably the coolest character in the series is Canti, the non-speaking robot with a computer monitor for a head. It seems that the collectible figure community as glommed on to that simple fact with a vengeance this summer, with a number of different 12″ Canti paint jobs being made available at SDCC from several different toy companies. Like all 12″ figures, these babies ain’t cheap at $99 a pop, but I’ll be damned if there arent some ridiculously nice looking ones in the mix.
