New Star Trek In ‘08, Eh?

I ask this as someone who watched ST:TNG religously, yet catches episodes now and am horrified at how freaking terrible they are - does anyone really care about this? I mean, I might be persuaded into seeing it at some point, but is a new Star Trek movie something that gets anyones pants wet at this point in time?

Most people I know care.
I care, because it’s not some nameless schmuck doing the movie. Star Trek had the Bond problem. Both franchises needed a Speilberg, Fincher or Tarantino to take the helm.
Hopefully Abrahms will make that happen.

If you care, you’re a douche. Ha ha! I dunno. Never was much of a Star Trek guy. Although I do think Wrath of Khan is one of the best science fiction films ever.
