A sort of subset of the current vinyl figure craze is the even older Kubrick lines of figures. Fashioned in a style eerily reminiscent of the classic Lego person, Kubricks tend to be based on licensed likenesses. In the past, I’m sure you’ve seen the various Disney Kubricks, or perhaps the Grand Theft Auto Kubricks. they also seem to be an attractive manner in which to capture the plastic likenesses of your favorite bands, such as the Sex Pistols or the Ramones.

Later this year, two new franchises will be Kubrick-ized, and the both had preview pieces on display at SDCC. Aliens, including little Kubrick face huggers and chest bursters, and Spawn, including a Bearbrick of the titular character. Enjoy the rest of the photos after the jump!
