Transformers Animated Storyboards, Bay Interview

Oh god, I so want to like this movie and I know it’s so gonna suck. Bay let his mind “go wild in creating these interesting things”? Dumbass, there’s nothing that needs to be created - all we want is to see an Optimus Prime that looks like real truck/robot, not some Pimp My Semi reject!! This is gonna hurt.

Yeah, I’m definitely rooting for the film, but I’m not holding my breath. Funny thing is, it shouldn’t be that hard to screw up. I really think that, unlike superhero films, there’s not a huge need to change the character designs. And if Optimus doesn’t look like Optimus, fans will be pissed.
But if they get Peter Cullen to do the voice of Optimus — the original cartoon voice and only person in the world who should be able to do it — then I’d be really excited.

As a follow-up, I just found this on Wikipedia:
>>It has been confirmed that Peter Cullen will reprise his role of Optimus Prime in the 2007 Transformers movie. Fan response to the news has been overwhelmingly positive. [1]<<
FUCKING AWESOME.
