Green Lantern Script Leak

Really not sure what to make of this supposed Green Lantern script review. On the one hand, I’d love to see some sort of massive space epic with legions of Green Lanterns taking on Sinestro and his army of Quardian soldiers. On the other, I love Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. Plus, seeing Kilowog eating dinner at an Olive Garden appeals to me in a perverse way.
I also love seeing H.E.A.T. members get their panties in a bunch, so there would be that silver lining should this thing actually be produced.
It’s obvious that Jud is not digging the book nor really comprehending what is being told to him, so his fellow Corp members try to explain it to him in a simpler way…with singing muppet-like characters. I am not kidding, muppet-like characters singing and explaining to him the story of the evil Tchk-Tchkii.
Kilowag is assigned to train Jud. This is when things take a turn for the worse, WTF! Is that even possible? Here is a little more, we will see Kilowag and Jud eating at a local Olive Garden (yes it actually says Olive Garden in the script, well hey, when you’re there, you’re family) and also later in the story we get to see Kilowag half naked and drunk, yeah!

I love Robert Smigel. This might be cute for a 15 minute spoof.
As a movie? It would be disappointing to do this instead of the greatest untapped concept in comic books.

You know, I can never figure out how stupid the brass at Warners really is.But, to be fair, it partly the mass audiences fault.I mean, the sucess of faithful adaptations SHOULD make the studio respect, if not the actual material, at least the PROFIT POTENTIAL of the material. But I can’t blame them TOO much for getting confused when “Fan- pleasers” like SUPERMAN RETURNS underperform. (Someone told me that BATMAN BEGINS actually took in less at the box office than the much-hated BATMAN AND ROBIN!)
