The direct to DVD animation market is about to get a lot busier. Gotham Group, the company that represents Dark Horse Comics, Maurice Sendak and others, has signed a deal with Lionsgate and IDT Entertainment to produce 19 (odd number, that) direct to DVD animated features over the course of the next three years. No word yet on what comic properties are included in the deal, but I’d be shocked if some Mignola stuff doesn’t make it’s way to disc.
