Next RiffTrax: X-MEN!

In what is sure to be a must-watch for all of us here at KFR, Mike Nelson has announced that the next movie to be given the RiffTrax treatment will be none other than Bryan Singer’s X-Men!
The X-Men films have always been a touchy subject here at KFR; namely, I love them, and Andrew and Steve definitely don’t. This should be a fun one…
Edit: Steve now claims to have always liked the X-Men films, but I distinctly remember having my chops busted via telephone by Andrew, Steve, and Andrew’s wife about liking the movies. Another wrinkle has been added to this grand nerd-debate.

Actually, I rather injoy the hell out of the second and found myself liking the first much better with the 1.5 edition. Third still looks like regurgitated dogshit from the trailers, but I’ll watch it when it hits HBO. Got my DVR set to record FF in HD this weekend, too.

Really? Glad you came around to my side. The 3rd one sucks big time though.

Never had to come around - Andrew’s the sole X-hater from day one.

It’s true, Steve’s always liked him the X-Mens. Have fun with FF…

Also, it’s true that I’m no fan of the X-Men flicks, but a truly horrendous movie like FF or Daredevil would be better for RiffTrax, imo.

I think Nelson has hated these movies for a long time. I heard an interview with him where he was talking about X-Men 3. He was saying how dumb he thought it was, and then “out of nowhere comes Frasier dressed up as Elmo”, and that pushed the movie over the edge for him.
