Well, this is kind of disturbing. Seems a young, dumb cop has gotten himself in a bit of trouble for his MySpace page (currently yanked by MySpace) wheere he depicted himself as a super hero/serial killer. If that alone wasn’t enough, the page was apparently littered with photos of dismembered women. I’m all for freedom of expression, but I gotta say that if I knew the cop that had arrested me (hypothetically) had this sort of website, I’d be using the hell out of the information to try to undermine whatever case they had aganst me. I mean, c’mon, the guy’s obviously demented - everyone knows super heroes aren’t real!
Julia Vasquez, an assistant city attorney, said Love espoused a fondness for violence on the Web page that would hurt his testimony in criminal cases.
“These are comments that would make it difficult if he was trying to defend himself against a complaint regarding excessive force as an officer,” Vasquez said. “There may be no evidence of excessive force, but when someone looks at his site, the comments could be used against him in court.”
