Ghost Rider Transformation Footage Online

I’m not the world’s biggest Ghost Rider fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I am looking forward to the new Nic Cage movie making it’s way to the movie channels. Most of the footage seen in the trailers so far hasn’t exactly been blow-you-away awesome or anything, but the movie looks to be two hours of solid, brainless entertainment. Over at the Ghost Rider blog, the director’s posted about 20 seconds worth of footage showing Cage’s skin searing off his body as he transforms into the biker demon from hell. Lots of screaming and some melting flesh should make for even more audience interest in Marvel’s latest B-movie.

I’ve been trying to stay away from this movie for a little while since I’ve been a Ghost Rider fan since the late 70s. So since Steve out up this link, I had too look. Here’s my two cents:
The clip mentioned above is not bad. However, the new trailer brings up a couple of issues that I already have with the movie. First one is - is Cage trying to sound like Elvis when he’s looking into the mirror or is it just me? When he’s on, Cage can be one of the most irritating actors on the face of the earth. the other is - why does the Ghost Rider need a friggin’ gun and a recycled plot device from the first Blade movie (wise old man to help steer the main character towards the good path)? Both are very annoying.
One bright spot - the killer casting move of Mr. Easy Rider hisself, Peter Fonda, as the Devil. Classic.

And there’s a dude riding up the side of a building on a burning motorcycle!
